Our story
We know how it feels to buy a house without enough information.
NestCheck is run by a husband and wife team in Bristol. We bought our first home in 2021, and like all first-time buyers, we were incredibly excited to move in. After months of agonising conversations with solicitors and estate agents, we finally got the keys.
What was supposed to be one of the best days of our lives quickly turned into a nightmare when we realised we were living next to an incredibly noisy, seven bedroom, student house. In all the excitement and stress of buying our home, we had forgotten to do our own checks and had assumed, incorrectly, our lawyers would catch anything important.
With NestCheck we want to make sure that people have access to important information about a property before they put in an offer and get expensive solicitors and surveyors involved. We want to give buyers the support they rarely seem to get from lawyers and estate agents.

No, your NestCheck report does not replace the need for a legal professional to carry out searches as part of the property purchase process. What we provide is an upfront set of checks so that you have enough data to make an informed offer. Our reports also include several checks that solicitors aren't legally obliged to carry out.
We're aiming to complete reports within 24 hours of recieving the request. However, if you need a report more urgently, please do let us know and we will do our best.
We recommend getting NestCheck reports done once you've narrowed down your search for a new home. At this point in the process, reports may help you decide between properties and you can potentially use the information to help inform the offer you make.
We do our very best to make sure our reports are as valuable as possible. If you're unhappy, then please do contact us and we can either give you a full refund or try and address any shortcomings you've found.
